Alternative funding sources such as scholarships can be an important component of a student’s overall financial plan. Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers several scholarship opportunities with more than $100,000 awarded annually.
Every year thousands of scholarship dollars go unused simply because no one applies for them. Scholarships can be awarded for various reasons and are based on different criteria. The requirements may be very specific or very general. Some may include:

Leon Harris/Les Nichols Memorial Scholarship
1 Annual Full Tuition Scholarship for Avionics Technology Diploma or Associates Degree
Leon Harris/Les Nichols Memorial Scholarship to Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology – full tuition scholarship available to students who plan to pursue an Associate of Applied Science Degree or Diploma in Avionics Maintenance Technology at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The award will cover all tuition expenses for eight (8) quarters or until the recipient completes an Associate's Degree, whichever comes first. Scholarship will not be applied to any failed course. All other costs (failed courses, tools, living expenses and student fees) will be the responsibility of the student. The applicant may not be currently enrolled in the Avionics program at Spartan. 1 Annual Full Tuition Scholarship for Aviation Maintenance Technology
Tom Taylor Memorial Scholarship to Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology – full tuition scholarship available to students to plan to pursue an Associate of Applied Science Degree or a diploma in Aviation Maintenance Technology at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology’s campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The award will cover all tuition expenses for eight (8) quarters, or until the recipient completes their program, whichever comes first. Scholarship will not be applied to any failed course. All other costs (failed courses, books, tools, living expenses and student fees) will be the responsibility of the student. Spartan Collegeof Aeronautics and Technology – Service Member Scholarship Award –
100 Annually at $1,500 to Active Duty U.S. Military Service Members
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers one hundred (100), $1,500 scholarships annually to current active duty U.S. military service members receiving an honorable discharge. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $500 per term up to $1500 and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Applicant must begin training within 12 months of date of discharge from military.
Applicants must submit a 250 word essay on “Aviation Careers” to Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology, Attn: Scholarship Committee, 8820 E. Pine Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74115. Scholarship awards will be determined by committee on review of essay, college application and supporting documents.
Spartan Collegeof Aeronautics and Technology – Boy Scouts of America Aviation Explorers Scholarship
4 Annually at $2,000 Each
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers four (4) annual scholarships of $2,000 to encourage Aviation Explorers to enter and complete an aviation curriculum that will lead to a career in aviation as a professional pilot, aviation maintenance technician or avionics technician. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $500 per term up to $2000 and will not be applied to any failed course. Spartan Collegeof Aeronautics and Technology – Aviation Excellence Scholarship
25 Annually at $500 Each to Every Aviation High School Student
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers twenty-five (25) $500 annual scholarships to graduating seniors from any aviation high school in the United States to attend any program at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $100 per term up to $500 and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology.

3 Annually at $1,000 to Every High School in the United States
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers three (3) $1,000 scholarships to every high school in the United States for current year graduating seniors. Interested applicants can go to www.imagine-america.org and click on education scholarships to apply online. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $200 per term up to $1000 and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Only recent high school graduates who meet the following Imagine America Foundation recommended guidelines should apply: likelihood of successful completion of postsecondary education, high school grade point average of 2.5 or greater, financial need and demonstrated voluntary community service during senior year.
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology - Imagine America - Military Scholarship Award
20 Annually at $1,000 Each
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers twenty (20) $1,000 scholarships to honorably discharged members of the armed forces. Interested applicants can go to www.imagine-america.org and click on education scholarships to apply online. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $200 per term up to $1000 and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Applicants must meet following Imagine America Foundation guidelines: be enrolling in a participating college, active duty, reservist, honorably discharged or retired veteran of the United States military, likelihood of enrolling and successfully completing postsecondary education, not be a previous recipient of any other Imagine America Foundation scholarships/awards.
Spartan Collegeof Aeronautics and Technology – Imagine America – Adult Skills Education Program
200 Annually at $1,000 Each
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers two hundred (200) $1,000 scholarships annually to non-traditional adult students age 19 or older. Interested applicants can go to www.imagine-america.org and click on education scholarships to apply online. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $200 per term up to $1000 and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Applicants must meet following Imagine America Foundation guidelines: be enrolling in a participating college, meet eligibility requirements by the college, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, be at least 19 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED, not be a previous recipient of any other Imagine American Foundation scholarships/awards and complete the NCCT Educational Success Potential Assessment.

100 Annually at $1,000 Each
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers one hundred (100) $1,000 scholarships to a graduating high school senior with previous flight training experience to attend the aviation flight program at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $200 per term up to $1000 and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology.
Applicants must take a Spartan administered ASSET or COMPASS exam and submit a copy of log book or proof of flight training to: Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology, Attn: Scholarship Committee, 8820 E. Pine Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74115. Deadline for submission is May 31. Scholarship awards will be determined by committee on review of test scores and current high school transcripts.

1 Annually at $3,000 per qualifying individual for the Texoma Region

Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers one $3000 and one $1000 scholarship annually for each AFA region and a $500 scholarship to current AFA members and their immediate family to attend Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $500 per term up to scholarship amount and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology.

1 annually at $5000 to every Gold place state winner, 1 annually at $3000 to every Silver place state winner and 1 annually at $1000 to every Bronze place state winner.
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers one (1) $5,000 scholarship, one (1) $3,000 scholarship and one (1) $1,000 scholarship annually to state SkillsUSA state winners in Automotive Service Technology, Collision Repair Technology, Welding, Aviation Maintenance Technology, Marine Service Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, Motorcycle Service Technology, Power Equipment Technology, Robotics and Automation Technology, Automotive Refinishing Technology and Action Skills. Only one scholarship permitted per student. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $1000 per term up to scholarship amount and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Only applies to Spartan technology programs. Only high school juniors and seniors will be eligible and recipient must enter Spartan within six (6) months of graduation from high school.
Spartan Collegeof Aeronautics and Technology – FFA Scholarship
2 annually at $5000, 3 annually at $2500 and 5 annually at $1000
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers two (2) $5,000 scholarships, three (3) $2,500 scholarships and five (5) $1,000 scholarships annually to current FFA (Future Farmers of America) members. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $1000 per term up to scholarship amount and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Only applies to Spartan technology programs. Only high school juniors and seniors will be eligible and recipient must enter Spartan within six (6) months of graduation from high school. 1 annually at $13,000 to every Gold place natioinal winner, 1 annually at $6,000 to every Silver place national winner and 1 annually at $4,000 to every Bronze place national winner.
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers one (1) $13,000 scholarship, one (1) $6,000 scholarship and one (1) $4,000 scholarship annually to national SkillsUSA national winners in Automotive Service Technology, Collision Repair Technology, Welding, Aviation Maintenance Technology, Marine Service Technology Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, Motorcycle Service Technology, Power Equipment Technology, Robotics and Automation Technology and Automotive Refinishing Technology. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $1000 per term up to scholarship amount and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Only applies to Spartan technology programs. Only high school juniors and seniors will be eligible and recipient must enter Spartan within six (6) months of graduation from high school. National Winners receiving this scholarship are not eligible to receive the State Winners Scholarship.

1 annually at $1,000 to every CAP cadet in good standing
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers one (1) $1,000 one time scholarship to every CAP cadet in good standing. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $200 per term up to $1000 and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology.
Spartan Collegeof Aeronautics and Technology – Civil Air Patrol - Regional Scholarships
1 annually at $5000 to every CAP Region
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers one (1) $5,000 scholarships to a cadet from each CAP region. Cadets must be a high school senior or graduate, current CAP cadet in good standing, have earned Billy Mitchell Award, maintain 3.0 GPA, be of high moral character, receive recommendation from Unit Commander and provide summary of accomplishments. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $1000 per term up to $5000 and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology.
Spartan Collegeof Aeronautics and Technology – W.G. Skelly Civil Air Patrol National Flight Scholarship
1 annually at $10,000 towards Spartan Flight Program
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers one (1) $10,000 scholarship towards any Spartan flight program. Cadets must be a high school senior or graduate, current CAP cadet in good standing, have earned Billy Mitchell Award, maintain 3.5 GPA, be of high moral character, receive recommendation from Unit Commander, demonstrate outstanding leadership in the CAP, demonstrate high level of professionalism in appearance both in and out of uniform and provide summary of accomplishments. Through the AMT Society, Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers eight (8) $1500 scholarships annually towards Aviation Maintenance Technology, Avionics Maintenance Technology, Nondestructive Testing, Associate of Applied Science Aviation Maintenance Technology, Associate of Applied Science Avionics Maintenance Technology or Quality Control Program. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $500 per term up to scholarship amount and will not be applied to any failed course. Scholarship is available to new students before attending or within their first term attending Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Only applies to technology program. Spartan offers fifty (50) $2500 scholarships annually to current year graduating high school seniors. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a tuition reduction in the amount of $500 per term up to scholarship amount and will not be applied to any failed course.
