Spartan’s Avionics Maintenance Technology program will prepare you to become an avionics technician. Students can complete a diploma program in as little as 15 months and an associate of applied science degree in less than two years.

In today’s airplanes, aircraft electronics are required for safe flight as the airways become more congested. With over 90,000 commercial flights per day, and between 8,000 - 13,000 planes in the air at any given time pilots must rely on the integrity of their aircraft electronics for safe passage. The roll of highly skilled individuals with aviation electronics training is more important today than at any other time in the history of aviation. As technology advances so does the need for certified technicians with aviation electronics training.

Aircraft Electronics Training in Avionics

Our avionics technician program in Tulsa, Oklahoma, combines electronics and avionics specialties with the general core requirements for aviation maintenance. Not only do students in the avionics courses receive general aviation electronics training, they also learn:

Basic Mechanics

This already versatile skill set when enhanced by Spartan’s Aviation Maintenance Technology Program can make an individual an even more desirable job candidate. The combination of these two programs can be completed in as little as 27 months with a graduate being eligible for their FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification (A&P License).
